story!

i did this song for Original Music Competition #4(external link) running at TheTestTube(external link). the theme was to create music for a scene in an imaginary sci-fi, horror, slasher or thriller movie. you also had to come up with a name for the movie, and write a scene to go with the music. my imaginary movie was called "5000 Fathoms". you can read the associated scene by clicking the "story" link above.

the songs were judged in two categories: song and creativity (how well the story fits the song). then there was overall category which just summed up the two scores. i placed first in creativity and overall categories with this song!

Hellectric was my second finished song I made with Psycle(external link). I have since given up on the program because while otherwise good, it suffered from severe stability issues. I'd describe this song as mostly dark but also sad. that is all.

this was my first experiment with Psycle(external link). turned out pretty well. I went a bit overboard with the limiter though.
