Nausea ====== originally performed by At the Gates, now crappily covered by Ansgaros 08.10.2002 dd.mm.yyyy First of all, copy&paste this to Notepad or some other program that uses a fixed-width font for a nicer viewing. Now, I know this cover sucks ass and I applied way too much compressor on the guitars and all that shit. In addition to that, I played the guitars and vocals in one take to get a "live" feeling. There are loads of mistakes and timing issues and stuff. Goddamn, fuck it all. And the reason this wasn't released in IT format (like my releases usually are) is purely lazyness. I'm so fucking lazy I couldn't be arsed to cut down and "track" the guitars & vocals. This will most likely be the case for my coming cover of Judas Priest's Night Crawler, too (the one which I haven't even started making yet). If you've got something on your mind feel free to write to ansgaros@hotmail.com Oh, and if I never get that JP cover done this may well be my last release with my own vocals. I will most likely not be doing full-riff guitars anymore, either. This is because up to this point in my life I've been living in a detached house, and for a year of that I've been living here all alone. It's a big house, something like 120 square meters in three separate floors and I've been able to practice my singing quite freely (though I haven't actually practiced very much). Anyway, I'll move to a rowhouse in a month and I think that's gonna be the end of my full-riff guitaring (unless I record 'em through ZOOM which, at the moment, seems disgusting) and it'll definately be the end of my vocalling. Lyrics: -------------------- Release me from your world of lies I cannot bear this pain Degenerate machinery The monsters we create Nausea, oh sweet nausea Genetic barcode hell Mental genocide Repulsive human shells Choke on the fruits of life Nausea, oh sweet nausea Cold stare, starving eyes Blinded, tired lives Release me from this pain Unknown to man Nausea, oh sweet nausea Cold stare, starving eyes Blinded, tired lives Release me from this pain Unknown to man 'The family structure, victory over adversity through the family. Mix the god and country add the ten hour day and you had what was needed...' [C. Bukowski, 'Ham On Rye'] --------------------
