video game arrangements

Fortress of doom Lufia & the Fortress of Doom emotional metal july 2010 4:35 / 9.62 mb

my first ever PUNCHFEST(external link) entry. for PUNCHFEST X, held july 3rd.

this is a revised version, however, and not the one i had in the PUNCHFEST. i made some changes in the drums mostly, re-recorded some guitars that bothered me. stuff like that. there's still stuff to fix that i'm not going to fix, so here it is. enjoy!

Fire and stuff Lords of Thunder hard and heavy metal july 2010 4:40 / 9.84 mb

my cover/arrangement of the Llamarada theme from the game Lords of Thunder. nice game and it has a kickass soundtrack too. unfortunately the mixing is pretty bad, and then so... ansgaros to the rescue! well, it's not a 1:1 cover by any means, i gave it my own flavor i do believe, but enjoy anyway! it's mostly a pretty straightforward cover. it was named by a friend.

made for the june 2010 duel at Dwelling of Duels.

there is a video of me playing this song on YouTube YouTube(external link) (watch in HD or audio is out of sync).

Cradel of forest 2010 re-mix Silent Hill 4 power metal may 2010 4:55 / 9.58 mb

someone wanted to make Rock Band charts for this song and asked for separate tracks. i didn't want to give them the original mix, so i re-did the mixing and mastering. and that's pretty much it. sounds a lot better than the 2006 original.
A new dawn Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished metal with piano may 2009 2:50 / 5.62 mb

my proper entry for the Ys DoD(external link). turned out just fine in my opinion.

man, i should really write these writeup things right after i finish the songs when i still have something to say about them (see below for another example).

Five-finger discount Ys III: Wanderers from Ys metal may 2009 1:20 / 2.52 mb

this was my alt entry for the Ys DoD(external link). an arrangement of the shop theme.

To reminisce is to relive Journey to Silius, Batman, Bionic Commando, Werewolf: The last warrior, Ninja gaiden pure metal january 2009 5:32 / 10.9 mb

this was originally going to be a 10 minute epic medley of songs from (sidescrolling(external link)) games i played when i was a young boy. in the end i decided to drop half of the songs to have at least some musical coherency in it. i believe that choice was the right one.

this song has a fade out. some people hate fade outs unconditionally, some don't mind them. when used correctly, i don't mind.
